So in network what I working we had a terrible issue and very uncomfortable for long time. What exactly happen is when the power gone for while some of RB433 didn’t come back to life and you must go to place and unplug a PoE or normal jack, wait a 10 seconds and plug back.
Than a RB get up and everything back to normal, so wasn’t so bad when that happen once for a month.
Interesting is that usually happen in Sundays in place where are far away from anywhere. ( People start cleaning, cooking etc,. )
First my thinking was maybe power supply or just board had a bug ?! So I start looking on some forums to find solutions.
And on mikrotik forum found many answers and start using them. So first change PSU on ( laptop type ) poor results.
Using many different PSU this same. Put UPS to keep stability … OMG ups go down never back – crazy stories. After about half year, problem become very frustrating. When I visit one of villages to turn of and turn on boards, start chatting with local people to get some info about power. So one guy said me:
Well we had an issue this morning with electricity, and when I last time visit my neighbor and he wanna use his machine for cows, it only can go on half power and after that electricity gone
Hmmm in my small mind I can only imagine what can happen with electricity when isn’t enough. Another news what I got is in this unlucky village for us electricity coming from two place and there are meeting some near.
Of course I mount on one of the place Pulsar Power Supply ( with battery inside ) and that’s resolve problem.
But I can’t use them everywhere
Anyway why I wrote this post? Because thing that found solutions!
Basically not me but UBNT ( they produce Nanostation Powerstation and a lot of Wi-Fi stuff ). We use them toys from long time
And about 1-2 months ago they was swap a PSU in their CPE clients, before was 12v really cheap looks.
Now they giving ~ 15,8v with built in RJ-45 socket without PoE injector. So we start made test last time and on this supply every time Routerboard 433 / 433Ah get back.

Hopefully I help some others frustrated administrators!!!
